| Ohio Halfway House Expanding |

MANSFIELD -- A downtown halfway house will be expanded by roughly 50 percent of its current capacity this fall, adding 30 beds, state officials said Wednesday. Mansfield Volunteers of America director Carrie Benham-Daniel said she learned in May the North Main Street agency would receive an additional $700,000 from the state for corrections -- money freed up by the closure of Crossroads, another local halfway house, which shut its doors this month.
