The man authorities say killed Riley Fox spent about 15 minutes in court Thursday morning. For most of that time, Scott W. Eby sat in the jury box with Department of Corrections officers on either side, watching a shoplifter plead guilty before Judge Richard Schoenstedt. Dressed in the same tan prison jump suit with 3X on the front he'd worn before, Eby focused on the proceedings and did not once look at the courtroom audience, which included Riley's mother, Melissa Fox, and many of her friends.
