Dashnay Beckwith didn't say a word after police escorted her to a waiting vehicle that would transport her to the jail in Kearny. But her attorney, Adrienne Edward, described Beckwith as a struggling single mother who just wants her children back. "She's a woman that is clearly concerned with the well-being of her children.
