White isn’t often a dominant clothing choice in church, except on a bride. But the four gentlemen roaring through a Four Tops-like belt of “I’ll Fly Away” at Bailey Tabernacle CME Church on Sunday were decked out in matching outfits — white, except for black belts and shoes, and stark black letters on the backs of the shirts: Alabama Department of Corrections. Inmates from the Charles A. Farquhar State Cattle Ranch, a working prison farm eight miles east of Greensboro, came to share their testimony in song and soliloquy for Father’s Day. Bailey Tabernacle’s Rev. Willie Clyde Jones has been traveling to the Cattle Ranch for several years, now leading a group of three other pastors.
