FOLKSTON - The supervisor of a school construction project in Folkston has been charged with failing to tell authorities he is a registered sex offender working in Charlton County. Charles Howard Rogers, 48, of Blackshear, was arrested near his home Friday after authorities received an anonymous tip he was working in the county, said Capt. Kenny Jones, chief investigator for the Sheriff's Office. Though he is a registered sex offender in Blackshear, Rogers is required by state law to notify authorities in any county where he works, Jones said. Read More. |
