William R. Schmidt, the 39-year-old Minocqua man who was described for an entire week by authorities as "a person of interest" in the investigation of the death of the man's 44-year-old wife, is now in custody. Schmidt was being held on a parole violation after he turned himself in without incident to authorities in rural Sheboygan Falls. Minocqua police and other law enforcement agencies began circulating flyers Wednesday as part of their continued search for Schmidt. Schmidt surrendered to authorities about 10 a.m., Sheboygan County Sheriff's Capt. Cory Roeseler said. Schmidt was staying at his parents' home on Hwy.
