MONROE TWP. — A civilian employee of the Jamesburg juvenile jail was taken to the hospital after she was attacked and choked by an inmate Monday night. The attack took place at about 5:45 p.m. in Cottage 11 of the “New Jersey Training School,” the state Juvenile Justice Commission’s most secure juvenile corrections center. JJC spokesperson Sharon Lauchaire said the worker, a female member of the clinical staff, was grabbed by an inmate, who choked the woman with his hands and arms. Read More. |
