| Gov. Reverses Parole For Manson Member |

Bruce Davis, a Roane County native who later became a member of the infamous Manson Family, won't be coming home for his 50th class reunion next year. Davis, 67, had been granted parole earlier this year, but California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Friday reversed the parole board's decision, which had drawn heated protests from prosecutors and victims' advocates. The decision doesn't mean that Davis will never leave prison alive, as he will have another shot at parole next year, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
