Former Utah Jazz center Robert Whaley was extradited Monday to Michigan. Whaley announced during a court hearing last week in Salt Lake City that he would stop fighting extradition. Whaley was convicted in 2008 of operating a drug house in Michigan and sentenced to probation. He absconded in January 2009, according to the Michigan Department of Corrections. On March 11, gang detectives in Salt Lake County stopped a suspicious car and found Whaley. During a search, police said, they found a baggy of marijuana hidden in his buttocks.
