Woman Will Testify Against Fiance In Murder Trial

A Kentucky woman has pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice in the death of her Antioch landlord and has agreed to testify at the trial of her former fiancé, Jason Baker.

Kimberly Caldwell, 38, entered an open plea before Lake County Associate Judge George Bridges on Thursday, meaning there was no agreement to a specific sentence.

The Class 4 felony she was charged with carries a potential sentence range of one to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. It is also probationable.

She testified Thursday to what she witnessed of the stabbing slaying of her landlord, David Queen, and admitted to fleeing the state and disposing of the murder weapon.
