| Paroled Man Back In Jail On Gun Possession |

A report of a dog on McClellan Creek Road being shot led to a 71-year-old Clancy man, who was on parole for deliberate homicide, being transported to Montana State Prison to face possible revocation of his parole. Loren Duane Sharbono, 71, was sentenced to 75 years in prison in May 1975 for killing his wife, who was eight months pregnant, the previous year in Richland County. Sharbono was taken to the prison Wednesday to await a revocation hearing, according to Bob Anez, spokesperson for the Montana Department of Corrections. According to Jefferson County Sheriff Craig Doolittle, no charges have been filed against Sharbono for an early June incident in which he allegedly shot a neighbor’s dog that he claimed had gotten into his chickens. An investigation uncovered Sharbono’s parole status, Anez said, and he was jailed June 17 on suspicion of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Read More. |
