Creek County inmates, jailer test positive for TB
By Associated Press
Published: 06/22/2004

Creek County (Okla.) authorities say 18 county jail inmates and one jail employee have tested positive for tuberculosis.
A positive test doesn't mean the person has TB and those who tested positive will get a chest X-ray to determine if they have the disease.
Sheriff Steve Tolliver says the illness was discovered when an inmate became sick and was diagnosed with TB at a local hospital.
The inmate is now hospitalized and undergoing treatment.
