A man told police someone robbed him of his sneakers and Illinois Department of Corrections ankle bracelet Monday afternoon. The robbery happened about 2:50 p.m. at Eighth Street and North Grand Avenue. The victim told police his mother sent him to a nearby store, but while he was in the parking lot, three men approached him and punched him in the face, causing him to black out. When he regained consciousness, $15 he had in his pants pocket was gone, as were his sneakers and his ankle monitor. Read More. |
