Ashley Nichole Cox, 20, of Corbin, has been indicted on charges of first-degree murder, concealing the birth of a child and tampering with physical evidence. An Oldham County grand jury returned the indictment on April 1, following her arrest on similar charges. She gave birth to a baby girl in a prison restroom, allegedly stuffed the child’s mouth with toilet paper and left the body in a trash can.
