| Man Shoots Himself When Questioned |

HAWK POINT, MO (KTVI-FOX2now.com) - A man police wanted to talk to regarding the kidnapping of four year old Alisa Maier shot himself when officers came to his door. The shooting happened about 4:30 Wednesday afternoon on Highway D in Hawk Point, Missouri, west of O'Fallon. Police would not say the man, was the primary suspect in the case. In fact, they say they're not stopping their investigation despite the development. Police say the man is in critical condition. "Everything is still on the table," Missouri Highway Patrol Sgt. Al Nothum told reporters Wednesday evening. "We're not saying this is a suspect. He's a person of interest."
