Ozark -- Authorities are asking for the public's help locating a Dallas County teenager who faces felony charges for a Memorial Day car wreck that left one person dead and two injured. Ozark Police Chief Lyle Hodges said Wednesday that Karena D. Smith, 17, of Tunas has made no attempt to turn herself in after she was charged June 29 with involuntary manslaughter and two counts of second-degree assault. "She is avoiding arrest," Hodges said. "She's apparently trying to dodge law enforcement." Ozark police are also receiving help from Springfield Area Crime Stoppers, which on Wednesday announced a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to Smith's arrest. Read More. |
