| Guam Youth Escapees Leave Questions |

Guam - The internal investigation into a pair of escapes that occurred at the Department of Youth Affairs earlier this year has been concluded. DYA Director Benny Pinaula says investigators conducted an intensive review of the escapes, which showed that failure to follow procedures as well as the physical configuration of the facility were to blame. Pinaula says disciplinary action has been taken against the two officers responsible, telling KUAM News, "Since then, we were able to address both of those issues, take care of establishing the standards and manual of operations with our employees and the second thing is we hardened our perimeter by installing more fencing, as well as constantine wire around the facility."
