MASON CITY, IA-- There are more details about why North Iowa officers spent 2 hours chasing a man in Winnebago County on Wednesday. Not only is James Lewis Whitehill, 33 of Mason City considered by authorities to be dangerous to peace officers, he's also accused of attacking someone with a hammer. An arrest warrant with a $25,000 cash only bond was issued for Whitehill on June 14. Whitehill was wanted on a charge of felony first degree burglary from the day before.
