| Alabama Inmate Killed Last Week |

Kim Thomas, general counsel for the Alabama Department of Corrections, confirmed Friday that an inmate housed at Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore was killed Tuesday. “The incident is under investigation,” he said. “There are suspect(s) who are being investigated for that crime.” According to Thomas, there is a section of the Code of Alabama that provides for the ADOC to perform an investigation using its internal investigations division similar to a police department.
