Montville, Conn. — Montville Mayor Joseph Jaskiewicz plans to ask state prison officials to reconsider building a residential sex offender treatment facility in the center of his town, using findings from Town Planner Marcia Vlaun showing the siting formula used by the agency was flawed. "It's not political, no matter what anybody wants to believe," Jaskiewicz said during a Monday night Town Council meeting. Jaskiewicz will travel to Hartford Wednesday for another meeting with area lawmakers, the Department of Correction and members of its siting committee.
