2002 Murder Conviction Thrown Out

Claude Hames never thought for a second that his son intentionally killed his brother when the two young men went hunting on his Walton County farm eight years ago.

And Hames never lost hope that his son, Joshua, would be vindicated - even though he was convicted in 2002 of murdering his brother, Samuel, and sentenced to life in prison.

Vindication finally came Monday, when the state Supreme Court dismissed Joshua Hames' conviction, seven years after the 29-year-old went to prison.
