Reported inmate fights are up significantly this year at Monroe County Correctional Facility, something Warden Donna Asure attributes to more consistent documentation of incidents. There were 33 reports last year of inmate assaults on other inmates, according to a statistical report filed by the jail with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. But so far this year, through May, inmate assaults already total 43.
