Hurricane shutter scam artist Andrew Fernald has learned how to behave. Prison officials said 52-year-old Fernald, who made headlines in late 2007 when he skipped out on his sentencing in Brevard County and hearings in four other counties, is expected to be released from prison this week -- a year early -- partly because of good behavior. Fernald, 52, has been in prison since July 2008 serving a three-year sentence for conning 25 mostly elderly customers out of more than $50,000 in unfinished hurricane shutter contract work.
