BANGOR, Maine — A Greyhound bus driver charged with bank robberies in Maine and Rhode Island is having a detention hearing as the FBI continues to investigate if he is the so-called "Burly Bandit" suspected in nearly a dozen bank robberies. Robert Ferguson, of Lowell, Mass., has a detention hearing Monday afternoon in federal court in Bangor. The 47-year-old Ferguson was arrested Wednesday for allegedly robbing a Bangor Savings Bank in Orono on Tuesday. He was later charged by police in Warwick, R.I., for a May 27 robbery in that city.
