| County Will Not Take Killer From State |

A man convicted of killing three people was to be relocated to Tehama County upon his release from a California prison on Sunday. Tehama County Sheriff Clay Parker put a stop to that idea, "When I heard about this on Friday my first thought was 'not in my county.'" Loren Herzog, 44, of Linden, and his friend, Wesley Shermantine, were accused and convicted of killing at least four people, including 25-year-old Cyndi Vanderheiden, for which Herzog was sentenced to 78 years in state prison.
