FRUITLAND PARK -- A Lake Correctional Institution employee has been fired after she was charged with cultivation of marijuana and child neglect when deputies found marijuana plants in her yard. Kristie Leigh Slisz, 26, was arrested Monday and also charged with evidence tampering, according to an arrest affidavit. She has been fired from her job at the state prison in Clermont, said state Department of Corrections spokesperson Jo Ellyn Rackleff.
