| Inmate Back in Custody after Escaping From Wasco State Prison |

WASCO - This afternoon at approximately 1:00 p.m. inmate Eric Rodriguez surrendered to a CHP Officer in Fresno. The CHP were doing routine sweeps of stolen vehicles in the area of a family member’s home, when Rodriguez exited the home with his hands in the air. Rodriguez escaped Friday morning, July 16, 2010 after arriving at Wasco from Kern County. He was to begin serving a five-year sentence for battery on a prisoner. Inmate Rodriguez, 31, is from Fresno and is a member of the Fresno Bulldogs gang. He arrived back at Wasco State Prison this afternoon a 5 p.m. |
