| Drug Arrest Gets Corrections Officer Fired |

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. -- A corrections officer who worked at a state prison in Lake County was fired after being arrested on a drug charge. The Florida Department of Corrections reports that 26-year-old Kristie Slisz was fired Tuesday from the Lake Correctional Institution. Slisz and her boyfriend, 34-year-old Sylvester Jenkins, were arrested Monday. Lake County deputies were investigating a neighbor's complaint that the couple was growing marijuana.
