| Fighting Inmates Cause Lockdown |

Inmates were locked down at the Southern Desert Correctional Center after a fight involving about 30 prisoners Thursday. Howard Skolnik, director of the state Department of Corrections, said the prison in Clark County would remain in lock-down until the investigation is complete. It appeared the fight started between two inmates and escalated, Skolnik said. There were no serious injuries but one inmate was taken to the hospital for observation, he said.
