Frankfort, Ky. (July 29, 2010) – Longtime Kentucky Parole Board member Verman Ray Winburn was appointed Chair of the Board on July 15th. Originally appointed to the Board in 1997, Winburn is serving his fourth term on the Parole Board. A resident of Shelby County, Winburn is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s in Police Administration and a minor in Corrections. He served as a Correctional Officer, Probation & Parole Officer, Probation & Parole District Supervisor, and a member of the Kentucky Parole Board prior to his retirement in August 2008. He returned to state service to serve as a Parole Board Member in 2009. |
