| DOC Officer Shoots Suspect On Crime Spree |

(WSB Radio) A Gordon County crime spree leaves a woman dead and three men, including the suspect, hospitalized with gunshot wounds. The unidentified woman was found shot to death Thursday night. Her body was dumped along railroad tracks off of Highway 136 in the Hill City community. She was the ex-girlfriend of the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Paul Buchanan of Calhoun. He's accused of shooting two men, ages 19 and 17, inside a home off of U.S. Highway 41 near Resaca. One victim was shot in the back. The other was shot in the leg. Both men were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Following the discovery of the woman's body, who had been kidnapped from the initial crime scene, a manhunt ensued involving deputies from Gordon, Whitfield and Walker counties, as well as GBI agents, Georgia State Patrol troopers and a Department of Corrections' K-9 unit.
