| Bribery Charges Could Follow Officer's Firing |

A detention officer with the Coweta County Sheriff's Office was terminated Wednesday after authorities discovered he was accepting bribes to bring contraband inside the Coweta County Jail to inmates. Jordan William Brown, 47, of Newnan, was charged with felony bribery, according to Coweta Sheriff Mike Yeager, after Brown was caught by officials in the act of bringing tobacco products to an inmate in exchange for $300.
