| Felon Released From Prison, DA Upset |

Montgomery County and Upper Moreland authorities said Monday they are outraged over what they say is the apparent "lack of supervision" of a convicted county drug felon who, out in the community before her parole hearing, was arrested over the weekend for selling drugs and possessing two loaded handguns. "There was a real lack of oversight here and someone should be held accountable," said District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman. Ferman's remarks were sparked by Upper Moreland's arrest Sunday of Tonya D. Taylor, 50, a former township resident before she was sentenced in September 2004 to 5 1/2 to 11 years in a state prison on drug dealing charges. The state Department of Corrections in March of this year assigned Taylor, who was scheduled to be considered for parole in March 2011, to a halfway house in Philadelphia to ease her transition back into the community.
