SAVANNAH -- A man wanted by the Georgia Department of Correction was arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force on August 4. Robert Baker Jr, 30, was wanted by the Georgia Department of Corrections for escape. Baker was sentenced in 2004 in Wayne County to seven years after being convicted on an arson charge. Baker had been released from prison and was at the Coastal Transitional Center. Baker went to work on July 29th and failed to return to the center after work. Read More. |
