| County Creates New Panel For Drunk Drivers |

First-time drunken driving offenders in Fond du Lac County will witness the consequences such a crime carries. The five Fond du Lac County Circuit Court judges and Lakeside Municipal Court Judge Jerry Jaye approved a victim impact panel as part of the statutory Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) driver safety plan, according to a press release from Fond du Lac County Judge Peter Grimm. Starting Aug. 1, four impact panels will be held each year. Victims of drunken driving will speak at the panels and share their experiences. “Victim impact panels are powerful and moving and will provide real life proof of the dangers of drunk driving,” said Grimm in the release. “Attendees will learn that it just takes one time of drunk driving to take the life of an innocent person and to ruin their own life.” Read More. |
