A sergeant for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation was arrested Thursday after he allegedly injured his wife during a dispute, Monterey County sheriff's deputies reported today. Erasmo Sanchez Jr., 30, was taken into custody about 6 p.m. and booked into county jail on charges of domestic violence and false imprisonment. Deputies said Sanchez pushed his wife, causing her to fall to the ground and injure her pinky and back. He also allegedly prevented her from leaving a garage where the incident took place.
