| County Officer Stabbed While On Duty |

A detention officers at the Fulton County Jail was stabbed by an inmate in the back with a home made knife or shank and is recovering at Grady Memorial Hospital. Officers say it happened in the section of the jail where maximum security prisoners are held. The wound to the officers lower back was not deep and the officer is expected to be ok. This just add to the recent attacks on officers by inmates and tighter security is going to result from this. Inmates find anything they get their hands on a make it a weapon.
