| 10 Prison Years For Man Who Raped Girl |

A Howell man was sentenced Thursday to a minimum of 10 years in prison for forcing a friend's 12-year-old sister into performing oral sex on him. Livingston County Circuit Judge Michael P. Hatty sentenced Aaron Lee Keefe to a maximum of 50 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections for first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Should Keefe get paroled, he will be subjected to a lifetime of electronic monitoring. "Assaulting a young girl is not acceptable," Hatty said, adding that the 22-year-old defendant's "voluntary intoxication is not an excuse" for his behavior.
