ATLANTIC CITY - A man was arrested Monday after he allegedly groped a young girl walking down the street with her mother. The 11-year-old New York girl was walking near the Bally's bus area on Pacific Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. when a man grabbed her buttocks, Sgt. Angelo Maimone said. An officer was flagged down, and the girl saw the suspect across the street, Maimone said. He ran but was arrested. Melvin Bishop, 35, of Atlantic City, was charged with criminal sexual assault, because of the girl's age. He also was charged with resisting arrest and hindering apprehension. Read More. |
