| Murder Suspect To Be Extradited To IL |

Downers Grove, IL — Eric Gilford will be extradited back to Illinois after a court ruling Thursday morning in Wyoming. He signed a waver of extradition and will be held in Teton County Jail until authorities from Illinois can come to take him back, according to Teton County Sgt. Troy Sutton. As soon as Illinois authorities receive a copy of the waiver of extradition signed by Gilford they will begin making transportation arrangements, Sutton said. Gilford was captured in a Wyoming homeless shelter on Aug. 6, ending a 10-week fugitive run during which he avoided murder charges by assuming a stolen identity and living off odd jobs and social services, police say. He had been wanted by police since the May 26 stabbing of his five-month pregnant wife in Villa Park. Read More. |
