| Escapee's Fiance Has Ties To White Supremacists |

PHOENIX -- The accomplice to fugitive and convicted murderer John McCluskey was “acting as a drug mule” for a white supremacy group, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Prison officials notified the Sheriff’s Office about heroin and marijuana they found in Casslyn Mae Welch’s vehicle and in her possession during a visit on June 19. Welch has been on the lam with McCluskey since his escape on July 30. Welch was detained but never arrested. She was not taken into custody “in order to assist in developing and supplying information, which is common practice in many narcotic transportation and smuggling cases,” according to Trish Carter, who works in public information at the Sheriff’s Office. This incident occurred weeks before Welch broke her fiancée, who is also her cousin, and two other felons out of the Kingman prison, according to investigators. Read More. |
