KINGMAN, Ariz. - Three inmates, two of them convicted murderers, escaped from a privately-run prison in Kingman, Ariz. last month. Now, we're hearing exactly what went wrong. A security review of the prison was made public Thursday, and details were released that outline the comedy of errors which allowed these dangerous felons to escape. A prison door propped open with a rock, a broken alarm system... the head of Arizona's prison system says there were three major security failures that allowed John McCluskey, Tracy Province, and Daniel Renwick to break free. "Right now I lack confidence in this company's ability to manage and control," said Prison Director Chuck Ryan. The Kingman facility is run by Management & Training Corporation, which has been ordered to make dozens of changes to avoid any more escapes. Read More. |
