| Ill Inmate's Family Calls Jail Her Death Sentence |

On July 19, Susan Mcmillen received her death sentence. That, at least, is what her family believes a Lee County judge handed down when she sentenced the 41-year-old to three years in prison for drug trafficking. Mcmillen's body has been ripped apart by diabetes and cancer. She's lost the use of her pancreas and survives on a list of drugs that read like a pharmacy's order slip - Roxycodone, insulin, Xanax and various asthma medications. Now, she faces the care of a prison medical unit, which her doctor fears could be bare-bones or less. "It could take two or three days for her to go into a coma if her insulin isn't regulated," Dr. Guillermo Bohm told the judge in July. Read More. |
