| Autopsy Shows Inmate Died Of Liver Failure |

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- A prison official says a Sioux City man sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing his wife died earlier this year of liver failure. Fifty-one-year-old Tim Sohler, at inmate at the state prison in Anamosa, died in June at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Department of Corrections spokesman Fred Scaletta says an autopsy showed Sohler died of liver failure, but additional tests could not determine the cause. Sohler was charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his wife in their home in December 2008. Read More. |
