| OK Prison Dealing With Missing Inmate |

McALESTER, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Department of Corrections says an inmate has escaped from the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester. Officials say 28-year-old Mark Dwayne Smith was last seen at the prison around 5:30 a.m. Monday and was discovered missing during a 6 a.m. inmate count. Smith is serving prison sentences for assault and battery on a police officer and auto theft out of Tulsa County. He has been at the prison since April 2009. Read More. |
