Authorities now say marijuana was stolen during the burglary of the Hattiesburg Police Department on Friday. "Right now, it's believed that an undisclosed amount has been taken," HPD spokesman Sgt. Allen Murray said. Two arrests have been made in connection with the break-in of an unused wing of the Vinson-Everett Law Complex that was used as an entry point to the police station's storage area. Cheryl Fluker, 39, of Hattiesburg, worked in the building as an Action Center employee, and was arrested on-site Friday. She was charged with furnishing or taking of prohibited items and accessory after the fact of commercial burglary, Murray said. Read More. |
