The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating how a San Carlos Park woman's credit card was used to put money in a Florida State Prison inmate's account. Deborah Kay Lloyd, 45, told deputies that on July 23 she ordered curtains from shopwildthings.com and gave her credit card information including the security code on the back. On Aug. 30, $311.95 was removed from the account, according to a grand theft report. She called the phone number on her bank statement that went to "Jpaycash." She called that entity Aug. 23 and told her that on Aug. 2 the money went into an inmate's commissary account, but they could not give her the person's name. An Internet search shows the Web site is www.jpay.com. They told her the person had her name, address, credit card number and security code. Lloyd filed a dispute with the bank, SunTrust, and destroyed the credit card. Read More. |
