GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — A registered violent offender with a previous escape on his record has slipped past authorities again. Havaii Akane made his escape as he was being transported from a Lewistown drug treatment center to Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge. Department of Corrections officials say he was unshackled when he was taken off a vehicle in Great Falls and escaped from two transport staff. Read More. |
