| Former Inmates Applaud AZ Prison Managment |

The biggest surprise I found in my reporting on private prisons was a handful of former inmates at Tucson halfway houses who were big fans of the Management & Training Corp.'s Kingman prison. That's the place where three inmates escaped July 30 (two of whom are accused of killing a couple from Oklahoma while on the lam.) Not surprising, right? Of course prisoners would love a place that lets them escape. But these guys did their time and were released — into a better life. All three had "found Jesus," and received important support from the Kingman prison as they moved to embrace their change.
