IONIA, Mich. — David Quillan, 55, of Saranac, was sentenced Tuesday in front of Eighth Circuit Court Judge Suzanne Kreeger for one count of using a computer to commit a crime, and six counts of having sexually abusive material. Quillan was sentenced to 17 months to seven years in the Michigan Department of Corrections for count one of using a computer to commit a crime, and 12 months to four years for counts two through eight of sexually abusive material. Quillan stated to the court that he considers himself to be a positive and loving person, and denied putting the pictures on his computer. “Prison seems appropriate, primarily as it relates that you seem to be in utter denial of the images,” said Kreeger. “The number of images, and the number of stories; I do not believe that it happened accidentally.
